Originally recorded and released in 2013, remixed and remastered for 2020. Written and recorded in a week as both a challenge and a reason for me to use my actual bass guitar instead of MIDI instruments. Programmed drums and two layers of bass; one clean and playing "simple" lines on the E and A strings, the other distorted and playing "more complex" lines and chords on the D and G strings. Still not playing in key, but these were still part of the baby steps era.

Songs were deliberately recorded in as few takes as possible, because I thought that would be more "authentic." In reality it just meant more mistakes got left in when my amateurish playing couldn't match up. That, and I was doing inventory work at a store that week so my fingers were dried out and split to the point I was playing with band-aids on my fingers (made sliding down the strings easy, though). These were recorded at home on my own time, so there was no reason to not just play it all ad infinitum until there were good takes to use. Mistake learned.

Included is a slight edit of the bonus song available only on the physical edition, with updated lyrics and vocals to avoid the originally dated lyrics. Also included are four rough tracks that were to be included on the sequel EP, 'Down With the Frown.' These were first started in 2014, but were put on the back burner as other projects became more important, and eventually were abandoned all together.
